A Writerly Interview

Naomi Bennet has interviewed several writers, including myself, for her blog, Wonderland Creek.  She asked us each the same questions, and has grouped our answers together, which is really great because then you can compare and contrast five different writerly practices, habits, and so on.

She split the interview into two parts -- part one is here, and part two is here.  If you're at all interested in writing or how writers go about their business, do check it out!

  2. Fun read.

If any of you ever want lessons on writing cruel characters, let me know. I seem to have an awful talent for writing deplorable ones. :D

    1. I may take you up on that sometime! Maybe you could host a seminar. "Creating Cruel Characters" or something? ;-)

    2. HAH! That's... not a bad idea, really.

Though I must say, my characters usually keep their cruelty to emotional manipulation and/or controlling of other people. I'm so deeply uncomfortable with brutal violence that I could never write a character that beats kids or something. Dickens has me there. :P

    3. Not a Dickens fan. And I find psychological conflict more interesting anyway.
