My Summer 2021 To-Do List

Okay!  I've had a few minutes to put together my list of things I'd like to this summer.  Projects I want to tackle, reading and watching goals, and other fun accomplishments I'm pursuing.  Here we go!

~ Finish the first draft of my Beauty and the Beast retelling (I mean, it has to be done sometime, right?)

~ Watch 6 movies off my TBW shelves

~ Reread The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

(All book photos are mine from my Instagram account.)

~ Read 2 other books about/by someone who is not white

~ Read 2 other books for my latest Classics Club list

~ Read 9 books off my TBR shelves

~ Make the rainbow popsicles my kids found a recipe for

~ Have friends over for the 4th of July

~ Co-host Legends of Western Cinema Week

~ Drive up into the Shenandoah Valley and breathe the free air

~ Go camping somewhere new

~ Meet my friend Vanessa for the first time in real life

That out to keep me well occupied!  How about you?  Do you have any goals or aspirations for this summer?

  1. All fantastic goals. SO excited for a B&B story!!

    1. Thanks, Skye! I'm really excited for you to read it too :-) I'm feeling like it's my deepest book yet.

  2. This looks very fun! My sister's favorite book ever is The Count of Monte Cristo so we have decided to each read a recommended book so she will be reading Anna Karenina over the summer while I do The Count.

    1. MC, it's my 2nd-favorite book ever, so I say your sister has good taste! Have you started it yet? If so, what do you think so far?

  3. Oh, you and Vanessa are meeting up! That's lovely, I know you'll have a great time! <3

Beauty and the Beast! Soooooooooo excited for that book :D :D

    1. Katie, we're planning to, anyway! We almost met last year, but it didn't quite happen. I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Me too :-) I've been slightly stuck for like a week, but worked my way out of the swamp over the weekend, so hoping to move forward faster again now. There are all these things that need to happen yet in this book... and yet, it's feeling like I'm getting toward the end. Hmmmmmmm.

  4. These sound like good goals! I just published my review of 'Durango' for the Legends of Western Cinema Week Blogathon! Here's the link:

    1. Thanks, Sally! Would you mind adding your post to the official widget in my kick-off post?

Agree or disagree? That is the question...
