I have finally put tags on practically all of my posts, all the way back to the beginning of this blog! Quite a task, when you think that I've been blogging almost as long as I've been married, albeit not completely continuously.
So now you can read a new post about, say, snow, and then read all my old posts on the subject just by clicking on the little "snow" tag at the end of the post. I think that's nifty.

Agree or disagree? That is the question...
Comments on old posts are always welcome! Posts older than 7 days are on moderation to dissuade spambots, so if your comment doesn't show up right away, don't worry -- it will once I approve it.

This is exactly what I was talking about (though I didn't know it) when I said I wanted diaries to be searchable and generate reports.
ReplyDeleteCan we add tags to your posts with our own classifications? Doesn't look like it.
Yeah, I like this feature a lot. Not only is it cool for readers to see what else I have to say about a subject, but it's useful for me to see if I've blogged about a particular subject yet or not. Not all my posts have tags, like this one, but 99% of them do.
ReplyDeleteI don't think readers can add tags, though. But that would be cool, like have a thing where you see Noumenon tagged this as whiny or as mentioning Baby Sissy, and DKoren tagged it because it mentions Dana Andrews, etc.
