So, DKoren and I decided to update our lists of our Top Ten Hottest Actors. Here's mine, to brighten your Friday :-D This is based on how attractive we find them, not on acting abilities or how well we like their movies or what they're like in real life. My list of favorite actors is very different, and I'll post that sometime as well.
EDIT: I'm adding my favorite role for each to the list so you know where to find them.
1. David Boreanaz (Angel on Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
2. Hugh Jackman (Wolverine in the X-Men movies)
3. Chris Hemsworth (Thor in The Avengers and Thor)
4. Matt Damon (Jason Bourne in The Bourne Identity and its sequels)
5. Heath Ledger (William Thatcher in A Knight's Tale)
6. Josh Holloway (James 'Sawyer' Ford on Lost)
7. Val Kilmer (Doc Holliday in Tombstone)
8. Rudolph Valentino (Ahmed ben Hassan in The Sheik)
9. Johnny Depp (Roux in Chocolat)
10. Ioan Gruffudd (Horatio Hornblower in the A&E Hornblower movies)
How do make those picture collage things for your lists?
ReplyDelete-James
I don't know what Hamlette uses, but I always use Picasa to create collages.
DeleteMy friend made this one, but I use Paint for the ones I do for my Ten Favorites lists. I save a copy of each picture to my hard drive. Then I open a new Paint project, and one by one, I paste in a picture and then resize it using the little "resize" button so I can do it by pixel number instead of guessing. I put that picture where I want it, then add the next one, resize it, and place it, etc.
DeleteThank you both for explaining. :)

Yeah, I love Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp. You already know who my number ONE is. :-)
ReplyDeleteHmmm... wouldn't be Richard Armitage by any chance? ;-)
DeleteMy very favourite actor is Ioan Gruffudd. : ) I don't personally care for the term "hot"- I prefer to say "good-looking". It sounds much more refined. : P

It does sound more refined! I prefer "handsome" to "good-looking," though.
DeleteHandsome works too. : P

I don't even know some of the men on your list! But since I live my life in the classic era and know very little about current actors, that's not surprising.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter adores Matt Damon too. For me, your #3 and #6 guys are the most handsome...and they're 2 of the ones I never heard of!
I find all my favorite actors to be good-looking and appealing; however, while I love them all equally, I do find some more attractive than others.
My top 3 would be:
1. Montgomery Clift (pre-accident)
2. Tyrone Power
3. Rock Hudson
Interesting that I find your #3 and #6 appealing, given that they both have facial hair. You know I prefer my men clean-shaven.
DeleteHow funny! I like my men with some scruff, as you know, which makes weekends and vacations easy on my hubby ;-) Those two look especially yummy scruffed up, though they clean up nicely too.
DeleteI should add what my favorite roles for each are too. Maybe I'll quick do that.
Also, when I was little, I wanted to marry Rock Hudson's character Jordan Benedict and live on his ranch in Texas. Exceedingly handsome man.
DeleteMy my! Those are some very handsome gentlemen! :)
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely agree with Matt Damon from the Bourne series. Before those movies, I wouldn't have put him on a list like this, but now? Oh yes!
And Johnny Depp in Chocolat? *sigh* Love that movie!
I also admit to agreeing with Xenia, I'm rather fond of Richard Armitage.
I'm with you, I like a little scruff. Makes them quite nice to look at! ;D
Before my parents convinced me to give the Bourne movies a try, I despised Matt Damon as just a no-talent pretty boy. I'm so happy I was wrong!
DeleteHamlette, I tagged you in a post! http://classicforever.blogspot.com/2013/07/10-things-you-might-not-know-about-me.html
ReplyDeleteHey, cool! I'm in.
DeleteOh yes--give me David Boreanaz and Matt Damon anytime =)
ReplyDelete:-9 Any time at all!
DeleteI approve of this list. :) I do think Mr. Henry Cavill needs to be added to make it quite perfect. And Johnny...the only man I know who can rock eye liner!
ReplyDeleteJohnny takes eyeliner to new levels of artistry. Though I quite liked Antonio Banderas in it in The Thirteenth Warrior.
