Robin Hood Week Giveaway
It's Robin Hood Week! Head on over to Meanwhile, in Rivendell... for all sorts the Robin Hood fun. As my contribution to the festivities, I'm emulating our hero and giving some things away (though I promise I didn't steal them first).
~ One copy of The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood by Howard Pyle, paperback, new. You can read my review here.
~ One copy of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) on DVD, used. Stars Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland. You can read my review here.
~ One copy of Princess of Thieves (2001) on DVD, used. Stars Keira Knightley and Stuart Wilson.
~ One copy of The Adventures of Robin Hood by Roger Lancelyn Green, paperback, new.
~ One notebook decorated with Robin Hood, Maid Marian, and Allan-a-Dale.
~ One notebook decorated with Robin Hood.
Here are some closer pictures of the journals, which I decorated myself with vintage-style illustrations I bought on Etsy.
The first notebook looks like it has only Robin Hood and Maid Marian on it, but when you open it...
...there's Allan-a-Dale too!
The second notebook has only Robin Hood on it. Both notebooks have ribbon bookmarks and magnetic flap closures.
This giveaway is open to people with US shipping addresses only. (I don't really care if you live in the USA or not -- if you live elsewhere, but have a friend who lives here and is willing to have your prize shipped to them and then will send it to you, that totally would work -- but I can't afford to send these overseas.)
This giveaway runs through the end of Sunday, May 28, 2017. I will choose the winners on May 29 and post them here, as well as notify the winners via the email addresses you provide to the giveaway widgets when you enter. Please make sure you use an email address you check often. If I don't hear back from you by Monday, June 5, I will disqualify you and pick a different winner for what was to have been your prize.
The giveaway widget will ask you to leave a comment with your choices of prizes. I do not guarantee that, if you win, you will receive one of the prizes you chose. I try to match people up with things they want the best I can, but sometimes I just can't do it. If there's anything you DO NOT WANT, such as a movie or book you already own, PLEASE SAY SO as well.

Squueee!! This is a GREAT giveaway, Hamlette!!
ReplyDeleteEek, choices. As my first choice, I guess I'd like the Robin/Marian/Allan journal. Second choice would be the Errol Flynn movie. The only prize I wouldn't want is the Princess of Thieves movie.
Thanks again for this giveaway! It's fabulous. :D
I love all of your prizes! I want all the prizes!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut.... if I have to chose.... The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood by Howard Pyle and then The Adventures of Robin Hood by Roger Lancelyn Green. I loved those books growing up. *cough* third choice is The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) even though I don't get a third choice *cough*. ;)
Third choices are fine too! I just want people to tell me at least TWO so they have a better chance at getting something they want, rather than me randomly assigning them a prize.
DeleteYAY!!!!!!!! Giveaways are awesome! And this one looks great!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have any of those! I have seen the 1938 version so I don't have to have that. And then those books and Princess of Thieves and journals would be awesome!!
How cool! Thank you Hamlette!
Oh, um, I was so excited that I forgot to log out, correct my email, and log in again. That pesky "s"! Do you want me to do that?
DeleteAlso, is Princess of Thieves Blu-Ray or from Europe? Because those are the only kinds (I know of) that won't work for me.
Hmmm. Is it just an "s" after the word "movie" in your address? I can just adjust that if you win something.
DeleteThese are both Region 1 DVDs that play in the US and Canada.
Yes it is. Thank you!
DeleteThen they will most likely work on my tv/computer. :D
Hmm. Let's say: No. 1: The Robin Hood Journal. No. 2: The Errol Flynn DVD. No. 3: Everything else equally!
ReplyDeleteAaahhhhh, thank you so much for doing this, Hamlette!
ReplyDelete(Is it malapropos to enter a giveaway for one's own week? Ah, what the heck, I'm doing it anyway. ;-P)
I'd love either the Errol Flynn DVD or either of the journals! We already have both of the books, so I'll pass on those should I win.
THANKS AGAIN! :)
(Olivia, it's only a faux pas if you enter a giveaway you're sponsoring. You're not sponsoring this, so enter away!)
DeleteSuch a treasure trove of giveaways! I really like "The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood" or "The Adventures of Robin Hood."
ReplyDeleteDon't know what I'd do with a journal. And both of those books sounds like they are geared towards kids. But I'd gladly take either of the movies. You still have my email, right?
ReplyDeleteEEP! What a fun giveaway! I heard about it from Natalie's blog Raindrops on Roses. . . :D Thanks for hosting the giveaway! *whispers* I still have yet to be initiated into the Robin Hood clan. . . But I have wanted to for forever, so here is my chance! :D
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria

Um, I guess I should have included this in my first comment. But I would love the dvds! I have the books. . .:D
ReplyDelete~ Victoria Lynn
Thanks so much for the gorgeous giveaway! This is the cherry on top of the whole Robin Hood celebration. I would most love to have either Journal #1 or Journal #2, and I would rather not have the two books.
ReplyDeleteThanks again!

This giveaway is one of my favorites (of all the ones you've hosted). 'Cause ROBIN HOOD.
ReplyDelete#1 prize choice - Princess of Thieves
#2 prize choice - notebook with Robin and Marian and Allan.
And I *don't* care for either of the books or the Errol Flynn version. Just so you know. :)
