It's a useful device. It is easy to understand why Vic Morrow was nominated for an Emmy for the role! "The Walking Wounded" is one of those episodes that stands out in my mind when it comes to Combat! A new favorite episode, for sure, and Saunders has now moved up to second favorite character (how I rank the characters tends to change a lot based on what episodes I've seen recently).
