I loved both the book and the film, and I agree, it's definitely a turning point in Harry's life--him and his friends are having to be "more adult," and the plot is starting to become darker and darker. Apart from their awful retro haircuts, everything about it is perfect and I think it captures both the magic and peril of this fictional world the best out of all the films.
