...revealing my thoughts about movies, writing, and life to the audience...
I loved the imagined dialogue. It cracked me up so much. The writer being a theological student made it even better.
Yes! It was a great imagining.
Yay! Congrats on another successful Femnista launch. :)
Thanks! I'm always excited when these arrive.
Ooooooh Ben-Hur is in my top ten favorite films of all time, so I'll definitely have to go read your article! :D~Jamie
It's just splendid, isn't it? I can't believe they're doing a remake -- there's no need! That movie is pretty well perfect!
I didn't know about the big screen remake until this past week! It'll be interesting to see what they do with it.Canada did a remake a few years ago, a miniseries... I actually edited it for a friend, because they chose to include a lot of unfortunate sexual content -- I didn't like the main actor, but it was an interesting retelling. Hopefully, in the next remake, they won't strip out the religious aspect, or downplay it ... it was kind of neutered in the miniseries. :P
I will try to keep an open mind... cuz it might be great. Never know.
Great article- I love that movie! I wouldn't mind a remake, especially if it stuck a little closer to the book, but considering Hollywood's track record with remakes of Biblical epics, this one's probably going to be another dud.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.And yeah... I'm going to have really low expectations for the remake. Which can sometimes be a good thing.
